Companion Energy Launches Texas Billboard Campaign Featuring Local Pets

To celebrate the official launch of Companion Energy, we’re rolling out something big. Really big.

As in 48-feet-wide billboards big.

Last month, we launched our first out-of-home (OOH) marketing campaign across Dallas and Houston — a bold, colorful introduction of our mission: energy that cares.

Across 12 strategic billboard locations (6 in Dallas, 6 in Houston), drivers will see four distinct on-brand messages that share who we are, what we stand for, and why Companion is different from every other Texas retail electricity provider.

And soon… they’ll also see some very special furry faces.

The Four Billboard Messages Introducing Companion Energy

Each city features a rotation of four brand messages — intentionally crafted to reflect our mission of supporting Texas families and their pets.

  It reinforces that pets are part of the family — and that choosing an electricity provider is an opportunity to support their wellbeing, too.

  We are not another generic power company, we’re here to reinvent what Texans can expect from their electricity provider.

  These messages together introduce a brand with purpose, personality, and a story to tell.

  The billboards are placed in high-traffic, high-visibility corridors near major retail centers, commuter routes, and business districts across Dallas and Houston.

  The campaign will run for 10 weeks, with a December rotation update and a major new addition…

Introducing the Winners of Our “Your Dog on a Billboard” Auction & Raffle

As part of our launch, we held a special charity auction and raffle offering a once-in-a-lifetime prize: your dog featured on a Companion Energy billboard.

All proceeds supported wonderful charity organizations — and soon, drivers in Houston will see our winners’ dogs up in lights.

We didn’t just place their photos on a board.

We gave each dog the true celebrity treatment.

To prepare each pet for a 48-foot-wide debut, we used an advanced editing process featuring:

• A complimentary high-resolution portrait for each family

Meet Sky — Auction Winner 

Breed: Golden Doodle
Age: 9
Nickname: Puppy Luppy
Personality: Sweet, stubborn, endlessly cuddly

Sky is a Texas girl with a big heart and an even bigger personality. Her hobbies include:

• Hunting lizards in the backyard
• Fiercely protecting the home from delivery drivers
• Going on “sniffs” — very slow walks with many detours
• Demanding couch-side petting sessions (and protesting when they stop!)

Sky will shine on a prime right-hand read along I-10/Katy Freeway just outside Beltway 8 — one of the busiest commuter corridors in Houston’s Energy Corridor.

It’s the perfect place for a dog with superstar presence.

Meet Tax — Auction Winner 

Breed: English Springer Spaniel
Age: 15 years, 3 months
Aliases: T
Favorite Toy: Sir Robert the Porifera (also known as SpongeBob)

At 15 years old, Tax is a seasoned gentleman with a playful streak. He loves fetch, tennis balls, cheese, mountain trips to Pagosa Springs, and stealing Dad’s seat the moment he stands up

❤️ A Remarkable Comeback

In June, Tax fell suddenly ill. His family rushed home, unsure what the future held. With the help of medication, home-cooked meals, and lots of love, he made a full recovery. Now he’s thriving — and about to become Houston’s most adorable billboard star.

Tax will appear on a heavily traveled stretch of I-10 West near West Loop 610, reaching daily commuters from Downtown Houston through high-traffic retail districts.

A perfect stage for a dog with a miraculous story.

Meet Bella — Raffle Winner

Breed: German Shepherd
Age: 3
Backstory: Formerly surrendered, now living her best life. Bella is a bright, beautiful German Shepherd who loves car rides, front-seat privileges, and the occasional ribeye steak bone-in. After being surrendered because her previous owner couldn’t keep her, she became part of the family — and hasn’t looked back since.

Bella will appear on a major board along Hwy 290 Northwest Freeway, reaching daily commuters from Tomball, Champions Forest, and upper-income neighborhoods across northwest Houston.
